TIME TO TELL

TIME TO TELL è uno spettacolo che prende le distanze dai lavori precedenti della compagnia Uni Jam Biste, perché integra l’atto fisico della giocoleria con il potere della narrazione.
Lo spettacolo, frutto della collaborazione del performer Martin Palisse e da David Gauchard, è arricchito dall’idea di restituire una testimonianza sonora rielaborata dei dialoghi fra i due, nei quali Martin Palisse racconta la sua malattia, la fibrosi cistica, attraverso la sua sensibilità ed esperienza, portando alla luce le sue implicazioni nella vita quotidiana, nella sua condizione psicologica e nelle scelte di vita.

L’attrice genovese Federica Granata presta la sua voce alla storia di Martin, che ripercorre la sua vita dal giorno della diagnosi, a sole 48h dalla sua nascita, fino al suo presente di adulto di 42 anni, raccontando il rapporto travagliato e ambivalente con la famiglia, con la scuola, con gli ospedali e con il proprio corpo. In questo racconto il corpo diventa il fulcro, lo strumento che gli permette di lavorare, ma che al contempo lo limita, una macchina imperfetta, il suo corpo, che mostra segni di cedimento, ma resiste davanti al destino incerto di chi lo abita. Portando alla luce il concetto di contingenza, Martin si interroga sul suo passato e sul suo futuro, ma lo fa carico di speranza verso il progresso e verso la medicina che gli ha restituito negli anni una parziale libertà e gli ha concesso di vivere e non solo di sopravvivere.

Time To Tell, letteralmente “il tempo di raccontare”, vuole testimoniare e unire, attraverso l’arte circense della giocoleria, l’artista e il suo pubblico e trasmettere a quest’ultimo lo sforzo e la fatica che caratterizzano da sempre la vita del primo.

TIME TO TELL is a show that distances itself from the Uni Jam Biste company’s previous works, because it integrates the physical act of juggling with the power of storytelling.The performance, a collaboration between the performer Martin Palisse and David Gauchard, is enriched by the idea of rendering a reworked sound testimony of the dialogues between the two, in which Martin Palisse recounts his illness, cystic fibrosis, through his sensitivity and experience, bringing to light its implications in his daily life, his psychological condition and life choices.

Genoese actress Federica Granata lends her voice to the story of Martin, who traces his life from the day he was diagnosed, only 48 hours after his birth, to his present as a 42-year-old adult, recounting his troubled and ambivalent relationship with his family, school, hospitals and his own body.In this tale, the body becomes the fulcrum, the tool that allows him to work, but at the same time limits him, an imperfect machine, his body, that shows signs of breaking down, but resists in the face of the uncertain fate of those who inhabit it.

By bringing the concept of contingency to light, Martin questions his past and his future, but he does so with hope for progress and for the medicine that has given him back a partial freedom over the years and allowed him to live and not just survive.Time To Tell, literally ‘the time to tell’, wants to witness and unite, through the circus art of juggling, the artist and his audience and convey to the latter the effort and fatigue that has always characterised the former’s life.
